Murals

Hanging on external walls, my murals proudly reflect important local stories, and playful depictions of
landscapes, animals and flora.

Being an ex Primary school teacher I jumped at this opportunity to create an outdoor mosaic wall mural incorporating Australian native flora and fauna, that is aimed at engaging and educating
2 to 6 year olds. The Kalker Montessori Centre celebrated its 100th year of Montessori education
in Australia in 2013.

What a wonderful project and my biggest mural to date. In remembrance of Australia’s role in the first world war, it needed to be a reflective area, and have a sense of history. Inspiration for this mural has came from the Poem Flanders Fields poem by John Mc Crae . He talks of sky lark birds, sunrise and sunset in the Flanders Fields of Belgium. The Anzac Centenary Fund sponsored this mural
